We are still carrying on with our pitch ideas, we added in were we are locating our scenes, we decided on Stratford in Westfield  ( Starbucks), todays lesson we are trying to finish of our storyboard, and we also going to carrying on our risk assessment.

Treatment Ideas

Today I went into a pair with another girl in my class, and we decided on song out of three choice; we decided to choose, I'm his only woman by Jennifer Hudson.


Our ideas:
 A woman in her house place by the dining table, drinking red wine elegantly, then she answers the phone- then there is a split screen.


We also printed out the lyrics to Jennifer Hudson

Ed Sheeran- Shape of you (Yxng Bane remix)

 This is the remix to ed sheeran original song Shape of you. Yxng Bane made a remix to the song. From the intro, it begins with a wide shot with depth of field of yxng bane in the distance leaning on a car, and it a close up of toned female legs in high heels; the lighting is quite gloomy, as it seems by the floor that it has been raining.  The camera moves from the floor to show her top half of her body- which links to the title ' shape of you' it shows the female wearing tight black shorts and leather jacket.


The woman walks dramatically toward yxng bane, who is shown eating food in the distance. The music video is about the artist who is in love with a female, with a good figure as he states in the music video ' Body looking like a coca cola bottle. The artist is represented as a dominating character as he shown, simply leaning on car eating, whist the female is dancing in the front of him entertaining; whist she is dancing in front of him he reacts through he facial expressions and body language; their is chemistry between them, when she is sitting on the top of the car top and the camera cuts out her face but shows her legs and it also shows her playing with his hair . Through the music video, I would say Yxng Bane, like to express his feelings towards the way he feels about a woman. The female seems to be entertaining his pleasure, as most times she is shown at the front dancing and the camera pans across showing side angles and whist the camera moves her eyes follows, showing direct eye contact.

 The target audience for this, would be male or female between the age of 16- 25; however it is more targetted to the female side; and the song is mainly about a female, who has a good physic. This something similar to what Yxng Bane usually does and this would attract audiences from his previous tracks

Editing day one/ Process

Todays lesson, we worked in a group of three, in the process we shot our music video to CardI- Bodak yellow. Whist filming we used close, Long and mid shot. We will be editing using adobe premier cc, this is when we imported the clips from the camera SD to the hard drive then to the software. In the lesson we didn't much we just imported all our clips and found the music video that we used.

Introduction of using DSLR camera

Today in our media A2 lesson we were put into groups of 2/3 and we were told the basics of how to use a DSLR camera. We were introduced to the ISO, Shutter, Aperture. This carefully explained, then we told to go off into the field; and a music video of our choice we chose Cardi B- bodak Yellow.

Camera shallow depth of field- line of focus is very thin
Deep focus- Lots in the frame, more in focus
Lens- zoom lens, Prime lens
White balance- Is temperature

Exposure - is how much light goes in, the light goes in through the lens
ISO - Camera sensitivity to light

In todays lesson we finished off our last steps of our music video, we concluded with 

Different video transition, that we mainly used at the beginning, we also fixed the syncing of mouth with the music video, we also added more clips to make it shortly longer.

The music video is narrative based and it shows the artist Lloyd who speaks through his personal issues at the begin with spoken words of " I lost it all my friends, but in life their is always a chance to grow from the pain and from the struggle." i took inspiration from his music video, is that I like the soulful vibe in video, and that he speaking to the world through his music video.

Locations: In the music video he shows quick glimpse of different locations, from outside under a tunnel to the front of the yard to a open field to an empty room. 

Camera: he uses wide shot of him in an open field and in an empty room, this annotate his problems. He uses close up, mid shots when he goes in personal about what he is going through. 

Mise en scene- all white, denim, a hat,- rebirth, brand new, different location more darker colours black hat brown jumper, denim

 It begins an establishing shot of a city in america then it leads to a side close up of the artist, speaking about absence in the music career. In the music video the lightening is dark this could represent his feelings that he is going through before he started back his music.The whole of music video is shot in low light, and the video is shot in different locations, such as open field, inside a old building. During the video,and his narrative lyrics their is small throwback video clips of him explaining his issues.The music video it self, has retro look to it, making it seem old. In the music video their is low angles; this could be to sure him begging God for forgiveness; as further on the video its shows him with his two hands together and his head held high, saying 'please accept me for what I do'. In the music video there is lots of cutaway, which crosses from him being on the field, to being in the house, to throwing it back to when he was in debt and ripping envolopes. The cutaways brings all his issues that he is been through in to one concept; making it clear that he been through lots of issue.

Ideas that i will take from the music video, is the retro vibe look and the transitioning from older clips to modern day clips this could annotate the new beginning the change in the person life.

Location: The music video was shot in the British virgin island beside the the tropical beach. Beside the palm trees and the ocean. 

Director : The music video was directed by rock Jacobs and its features length beach scene with iyaz and his love interest.

Features a female with long black wavy hair, she is shown on roller skates on the beach wearing bikini top and shorts. It also features the Iyaz the guy that is forwarding the thoughts to the female with long black hair. In the music video he is shown at different locations at the beach, he is shown beside the British virgin island flag along side the female and beside the ocean and beside a graffiti wall. In the music video he is shown wearing an over size t-shirt , baggy boot cut jeans and heavy gold chain and black shades.

The music video is performance based.

Idea locations:

it will be similar to the iyaz replay music, but it will be shot 

in the park with graffiti skate park

What ideas could you use in your own music video?

The ideas that i could take from the iyaz music video is the whole storyline between the main character and his lover; I will take inspiration to the time it was made, back in 2009 therefore the clothing that where worn i will make it similar.

 It begins with a close up side shot of a female, looking down looking of the artist Iyaz song on a phone; this is close up, this indicates that it is the main object. It then leads to a wide shot of a female on roller skates, that skates towards the camera. There is a low angle of the camera looking up to Iyaz who is beside a wall full of graffiti and is wearing a yellow t-shit and snap back. He  has his in the air, whilst singing ' shawty is like melody in my head', the low angle gives Iyaz high status and the clothing that he is wearing compliments the angle of the camera; this is to show he is something with high authority. 

 The target audience for this music video is teenagers between the age of 13- 19 and it mostly suited for females as the song is wrote to a female.
